About the Artist:
Clement Koys is a self-taught artist from Papua New Guinea, known for vibrant portraits that celebrate cultural identity. Raised in Madang, he learned art through his brothers’ sign-writing work. In 2005, he co-founded the Tumbuna Visual Arts Association to support local artists. His work, often seen in public murals, highlights traditional dress and customs, and has been exhibited both locally and internationally.
