About the Artist:
Laben Sakale is a Papua New Guinean painter from Menyamya, Morobe Province, now based in Port Moresby. A graduate of the University of Papua New Guinea’s Faculty of Creative Arts, his work explores culture, personal experience and social issues including family, politics, gender roles and modern PNG life.
